This company known as "GhostNodes" has had hours and hours of downtime and customers are not happy as there is only one person that can fix the issue. The owner has admitted to using pirated WHMCS even saying "I looked up free WHMCS and used that", and is now banning people who ask for a refund because of the downtime. They are using $3/mo "Unlimited" cPanel Hosting from SparkedHost. There node IP leads back to a Verizon FIOS equipped home or business in New York. When they reinstalled panel, they didn't take any measures from keeping it safe to set it up which allowed for someone to just set up their panel with their own information. Update: They are also telling clients to pay invoices via PayPal Friends & Family. Most of the clients are young children who don't know exactly what they are doing. Of course, it's the clients fault for paying with friends & family but it's still bad business practices. The owner operates under the persona "Callum B" but their PayPal reveals the name "Tayla Evans". I don't have proper validation for the second screenshot as they do not send Ticket Transcripts. Hi everyone, Braiden here! I've been keeping an eye on things with GhostNode, and their safety protocols have gone right out the window. I was able to access their panel numerous times, both prior to the panel update and afterward, which is cause for serious security issues. Furthermore, customers have been told they will not receive a refund for the downtime. @"notbob_49208"#284 requested one because they needed their server online, but GhostNode refused, stating the refund time limit had expired. Rather than assist, they closed the ticket and banned them. Honestly, I’d recommend looking elsewhere for hosting. From what I’ve discovered, they’re home-hosting their servers, which explains a lot. Looks like summerhosts are arriving early this year!

If you look at the downtime stats, you’ll see that most of the time, our services have been up without issue. The problem yesterday was a tough one to fix, especially with our investor involved. As we’ve said, we’ve been working non-stop to get everything back online and working properly. You logged into the panel because it was just set up, and then you broke the rules. Honestly, I didn’t know shared keys weren’t allowed—it’s clearly stated, multiple times, im not going to lie on that hence why i took whmcs down and looking for a alternative Big PEEP: this is your account, and what’s happened is on you. But instead of owning that, you’ve been throwing insults, acting racist, and threatening to DDoS the whole thing. All of that is just making me more determined to keep doing what I do best: providing a service and fixing problems. I know it’s easy to jump to conclusions and think we’re scamming, but you don’t know us. We’re working hard behind the scenes to get everyone’s servers back up, and we’re not going anywhere. Yeah, it sucks that you lost out on some time, but I’m not sorry. If you keep throwing negativity our way, it’s only going to hurt you in the end. We’re here to help, but we need you to meet us halfway. If you want to have a real conversation and work through this, we’re all for it. But keep being hostile, and we’ll have no choice but to stop offering support.

Looks like he’s trying to start his own hosting and is actively looking for investors. What’s crazy is, he was once part of the GhostNodes team and admitted he didn’t have the knowledge to handle the backend, which is why he was only in server support. It’s ironic how things turn out.

smh But I am glad to see that you are putting in efforts to work yourself out. But you do need to sort your Refund Policy out “even though client may have said some things, they are still entitled to a refund” and I would like to see no more of that friends and family stuff through PayPal. This is heavily against PayPal TOS and is horrible business practices. I hope in the future, you abide by your guidelines and wishing the best. Probably going to stop following this after this message.

We don’t have billing portal or anything setup, we are in BETA, people who previously had a server still has one I haven’t gone out advertising yet or what not and free servers are available for BETA testers this is while I work on the website, look at billing portal solutions and what not. Infinity free is a temporary solution until I settle looking for permanent web hosting. It’s only being used while I’m working on the main website.

smh My advice is run it on Cloudflare Pages. It runs fast since it’s the Cloudflare network and stuff and it’s easy to work with. 🙂
