Here’s what I found,
- The whole thing is discord-based. Server creation, sign-up and credentials generation. They send an email verification to your email to activate your account. Username and Email is requested through Discord on signup.
- There are four server types: Vanilla, Paper, Purpur and Forge. However, it seems like Forge is behind a premium feature restrictions. So i opted to create a Vanilla server instead.
- Attempt to Start the server failed at first, but ‘Restart’ worked.
- One thing that breaks the whole experience is there’s no IP. I had to get it via RCON, and find the port from server.properties that i grabbed from FTP. FTP also did not work at first, until I “restarted” FTP.
(EDIT: i’m dumb, i noticed there’s a Server Info option that i didn’t notice before, and this shows the server IP.)
So there you have it, my server is started and appears to work after a bit of fiddling.
141.94.249.90:2617 is the IP
Their node is OVH and has many FTP and web ports open.
