EpicNode marketed an “unlimited” Minecraft server plan, promising unlimited RAM, CPU, and storage.
When I asked about their server setup, they initially avoided giving details but later claimed to have a server with 1TB of RAM hosted on their own server inside a data center. This sounded impressive, but further investigation revealed it was entirely false.
Tracing the IP of their unsecured Pterodactyl panel led me to their actual hosting provider, DualHosting.eu, a third-party service. DualHosting’s most powerful plan only offered 192GB of RAM—proving that EpicNode did not own or operate a server in a data center as they claimed. In reality, they didn’t own any hardware and simply rented hosting from a provider while misrepresenting their setup to customers.
When confronted with this, EpicNode banned me from their Discord server without explanation. Internal staff messages further exposed the deceit. One staff member suggested admitting they used DualHosting, but another dismissed the idea, stating, “If you don’t lie, they won’t buy anything.” ( translated from dutch )
I have gotten screenshots of internal staff messages from a staff member which are displayed below.
