Fiber-IX: The Terrible German Hosting Provider
Hello! It’s me again. This time, I got bored and made the decision to make a thread on a terrible German hosting provider called Fiber-IX
The biggest issue I have with them is their terrible support times and dirt-cheap pricing (I’ll begin with the pricing).
The Ridiculously Cheap Pricing
This is way too cheap. Yeah sure, buddy, selling servers that would normally cost $289.88 USD to buy the hardware ? Sounds completely unsustainable.
The Job Positions
I don’t think you have €2,250 - €2,800 to spend per month on staff. Since if you sold three of your dedicated servers, you would only make €60. How does that even work?
The Fake Giveaway
They hosted a “Mass Winter Giveaway” a long time ago, but they never gave out anything—basically just an **attention scam.
The Terrible Support Times
And then there are the terrible support times. I made a ticket on November 5, 2024, at 08:50, and the last time I saw a response from them was January 9, 2025, at 12:12
Now, it’s February 12, 2025
- It has been 98 days since I created the ticket.
- It has been 33 days since their last response.
Absolutely unacceptable.
Fiber-IX is a mess. Terrible support, unsustainable pricing, and fake giveaways—what more could you ask for in a low-quality host?
