If you received a copy of the software with an open source license, you can agree to the license you received in the copy. If a project changes its license, you are NOT required to agree to it if your copy is a version licensed under an original license. You are only required to agree to the new license if you decide to use newer versions that are licensed under that license.
However, in this context the original license was pretty informal (and frankly nonexistent save for an agreement to credit the original author) before it was “changed” to a more formal AGPLv3, so I’m not sure what the terms would be for ADDING licenses.
Once again, I’m not a lawyer so do your own research as well instead of just relying on my information. I know I said I’ll be out of the drama, but I’ll just stay here in the backseat doing fact checking for both sides.
